Flash in the Daylight Hours

I have been running quirky lighting experiments lately. I decided to see if I had figured out how to balance daylight with flash to make it subtle, I don't think I achieved that with this shot, but I did like the effect. I think I am finally at a point in my photography that I am not so worried about technical issues as much as I am about being more creative. We shall see where this all goes I guess.
