A Striking Pair

This is another shot of Murphy the Chocolate lab with one of her owners. I shot this as part of there post-wedding photo session last week. They made a truly striking pair.

Very nice portrait! The lighting is amazing. May I ask what you used? Other than natural light of course.

@Sharon: I have a Sigma EF 500 Super flash unit that I set to 1/2 stop over the ambient light to make sure her face popped a bit. I just kinda set that to ETTL (canon) or TTL everyone else and dial in some flash exposure compensation. It's a bit of a guess since I don't own a light/flash meter. It's on my list of things to buy once I get more business in. Then I can really work on setting my lights off camera more outdoors and getting some different lighting for my clients.

what an ellegant photo the lighting is incredible ..... do you use a light screen ( I guess that is the non technical name ...lol ) to focus light in your subjects ?

@Me 2: I believe your are referriing to a reflector. No, not on this shot, on some of the others I did for this couple I used a reflector to try and highlight the face and eyes more but since this is mostly front lighting I didnt use one here.
