Trying to Find a Style

Ok, since as long as I have been taking pictures I started noticing that I do not have a "Style". All my pictures are different and there doesn't seem to be a common theme, thread, process or style in any of them. Some people have styles, black and white, toned images, people, nature that kind of thing. Hmm seems odd that I haven't seemed to have developed one.

This is one awesome shot, love the processing. When I reflect on your 'style' from the blog here, I think you have a strong eye for quite definite shapes and shadows. I like it!

@Daroru: Thanks for your comment, I think you may be on to something there. Most of the images I take tend to interest me in some way, even when they suck hehe. I guess I am just getting caught up in the whole internet pixel peeping concept a little to much and get worried.

Cool shot Rene. Love the interplay between light and shadow and its a wonderfully unique perspective. Forget forcing a style, just take what you enjoy taking and see if one develops. Being associated with one can be a blessing and a curse. Without any one defining style you'll probably feel freer to experiment and continue great and varied images. solid work from you.

Liked this one. A whole new angle. It could have been cropped a little in the bottom. If the far off subject is placed center between the main focus , it would have been better. In general a cut above normal pictures!!! Well done

THIS IS A GOOD PICTURE, try to experiment, why have a particular style? photography is fun, enjoy it. Always look for the unexpected.

I still haven't developed a style either. I take both color and b&w. I take pictures of animals, people, sports, insects, landscape, etc. It's not a bad thing. =) Embrace your versatility! Haha.

Anyways, great picture. Awesome silhouette and framing. ^_^

Please don't be desuaded from looking at other peoples styles and realising that you don't have your own. If you don't try all kinds of styles you'll never settle upon one that you're truely good at. My advice for you is to try a series of styles just like what I'm doing at the moment. For example one week put up all your portrait shots then the next week your scenery shots and so on. From the comments you get you'll be able to decide which genres you want to continue with.

Don't lose heart mate...your pictures are your own!!

I think the detail in the thigh makes this shot. Good perspective too.
Maybe your style can't be categorized? I would see that as a good thing.
